One Final Dream

This voice shan't be sweeter
But no auspice decreed
For when truth smells of ether
Who then inspires me

Fled inwards without flaw
To whiff vapoured ember
Thus enthralled and withdrawn
What was sought to remember

Thrashed with passions bulimic
At the loss of your heart
With no vices to mimic
Drawn asunder and driven apart

Sanctuaries besmirched
They wed in devil'd church
A folly uncompared and
Who had botched his own research

This unfulfillment grew
Through much admired untrues
Aspired to lost hopes with
Thought of carnevals subdued

Past sharing naught of hate
Too soon became too late
Too rancid clung to reason
We'd all silently debate

For when last calls has gone at last
You'll find that we diminish fast

Anon forget curiousity
Give shriek 'pon those whom life digest
Awake to sleep velocity
While Hell doth quietly protest

Point taken, dream no further ages
Within a war we should befriend
Alas, in shackle-ridden cages
Sole death beseech us to transcend

Enfrenzied love entwined, it seems
Those blooded yawns we smother
Despair illumed one final dream
While courage sought another
